About this
Lauren Salters runs Bloobird Ceramics, a small pottery studio in Langebaan where you sit down at a wheel and make something out of clay. Beginners are the point as much as anyone: most people arrive having never touched a wheel, and leave with something they made.
There are structured classes on Tuesdays and Wednesdays, and they do fill up. If those don't suit, or they're full, message Lauren and she'll find a time. She also does one-off lessons, private one-on-ones, workshops, kids' parties, birthdays, team building and date nights, built around what you want to do.
It's an indoor thing, which makes it a good one to have in your pocket for a windy afternoon. Message Lauren on WhatsApp or email her, and she'll tell you what's available and what it costs.
Times shift with the seasons and the wind. Always double-check directly before heading out, and know your own limits — especially in open water.
