About this
Langebaan's bike shop — servicing, repairs, builds and parts for mountain and road bikes, run by an owner who is usually the one working on your bike.
For visitors the useful part is the hire. Take a bicycle out along the lagoon front, which is flat, easy and about as pleasant a way to see the town as there is. If you would rather ride with people, Angus's Saturday mountain bike group is free and welcomes anyone who turns up with a bike.
They are in the Madriko Centre on Oostewal Road. Ring or send a WhatsApp to arrange a hire — they do not publish rates or hours, so it is a conversation rather than a booking form.
Times shift with the seasons and the wind. Always double-check directly before heading out, and know your own limits — especially in open water.
