About this
A small Langebaan studio built around EMS — electrical muscle stimulation, where a suit fires the muscles while you move, so a short session does the work of a long one. Theirs runs about twenty minutes, which is why it suits people on holiday who want to keep ticking over without giving up a morning. They also do one-to-one personal training.
The suits are Symbiont, and two things about them matter more than the brand name. They are wireless, so nothing tethers you to a machine and you can move properly. And they are dry technology — no soaking the suit, no cold wet gel against the skin, which is the part most people remember about older EMS kit.
Lee-Ann also runs Bounce Fit here — rebounding, which is a workout done on a mini-trampoline. It is low-impact cardio, so it is kind to knees and hips in a way running is not, and it works the whole body while doing something useful for balance and circulation. Classes are deliberately small, four people at a time, which means you are taught rather than left at the back of a room. R100 a class, Monday to Saturday.
EMS from R200 a session and personal training from R350. They have been going since 2023 and are in the Millennium Arch building on Sondela Close at Mykonos, and their page advertises a free demo, which is a sensible way to find out whether it suits you before paying for a block.
