About this
An IKO Pro Centre run by sisters Megan and Shannon since 2017, teaching kitesurfing, wing foiling and wakeboarding on the lagoon. Lessons cap at two students per instructor and everything is included — kite, board, harness, wetsuit, helmet and impact vest — with a rescue boat on the water and two-way radios in the helmets, which is what makes a first lesson feel manageable rather than alarming. Kitesurfing and wing foiling start at R625 an hour; wakeboarding is charged by the boat at R2,200 an hour for up to four people. They also hire out equipment, run boat lessons on windless days, and train instructors through a pro course. Open daily in season, from October until just after Easter.
Times shift with the seasons and the wind. Always double-check directly before heading out, and know your own limits — especially in open water.
