Running since 1988 and the obvious answer when the wind is up or the children have had enough of the beach. Every pool is heated, indoor and out. There is a Super Tube waterslide, a big swimming pool, a Slip 'n Slide, a splash pool for the small ones, putt-putt, trampolines, a playground, pedal karts, a jacuzzi, paintball target shooting, pool tables, a PlayStation and a Kidz Zone.

Two ways to pay. Entry alone is R80 a head and covers the putt-putt, trampolines, playground and pedal karts. Or take a full-day pass at R190, which adds unlimited waterslide, big pool, Slip 'n Slide and splash pool, plus two half-hours in the indoor heated pool — worth doing, because entry and the waterslide alone come to more than that. A half-day pass is R140 from 14:00 until closing.

Otherwise the water features are charged singly: the Super Tube R100 a day or R10 a slide, the big pool, Slip 'n Slide and splash pool R50 a day each, the indoor heated pool R30 for half an hour. Dry land is cheaper still — jacuzzi R20 for twenty minutes, paintball R30 for forty balls, pool tables R5 a game, the PlayStation R10 for half an hour, a braai spot R70.

Anyone under a metre tall gets in free, entrance and activities both, and there is a clown at the gate to measure against. The splash pool is for six and under; the Slip 'n Slide is for children between a metre and a metre and a half. Braai facilities on site if you want to make an afternoon of it. General entry is weekends, public holidays and school holidays only.

The indoor heated pool is a separate proposition: the water sits at 35 degrees, there is a braai beside it, and it can be booked as a venue for a day or evening function on any day of the week — which makes it one of the few things in Langebaan that works on a cold Tuesday in July.
