Paddleboard hire from the watersports centre at Windtown Lagoon Hotel. Calm mornings are the time to go, before the wind comes up and the lagoon turns choppy — flat, clear water and nothing to book beyond the board itself. There's a shop on site and lockers if you'd rather not carry things about.
They hire bicycles as well, which is worth knowing on the days the wind makes the water no fun at all. Worth calling ahead in season either way.
Windtown also has a spa and sauna at the same address — massages, facials and half-hour sauna sessions, Monday to Saturday, bookable on the same number or online.
