By The Beach - Beachfront Apartment & Home

By The Beach sits right on Langebaan's Main Beach on Main Street, with a private gate straight onto the sand. It comes in two configurations: a three-bedroom apartment downstairs that sleeps 6, and a larger home upstairs that sleeps 10 — book either on its own, or take the whole double-storey house for up to 16 across both. Each level has its own kitchen, so two families travelling together don't need to share one.

Upstairs there's an entertainment area with a pool table and an indoor braai room, so a windy West Coast afternoon doesn't cancel the braai — it belongs to the upstairs home, so it comes with that or with the whole house, not with the downstairs apartment on its own. There's a rooftop terrace with a braai as well, which guests come back for the sunset from — it comes up again and again in the reviews. Tezz, the host, is mentioned by name in almost every one of them for the welcome.

Rated 9.8, exceptional, from 21 reviews on Booking.com, and 5.0 on Airbnb for both the apartment and the home. Each of the three options can also be booked on its own Airbnb listing.
