Puza Moya Guest House
About this home
Puza Moya sits on Noord Street under a lot of trees, a short walk from the beach and a hundred metres from Cape Sports Center — which is the thing to know about it. If you are here to be on the water every day, this is the closest you will sleep to the kit, and the centre of the village is only another eight hundred metres on.
There are six rooms: four twins and two family rooms, every one en-suite with a bath, a shower and a toilet. The twin beds are three-quarters and push together into one, so a room works as easily for a couple as for two friends travelling together. Every room has a bar fridge, tea- and coffee-making, a heater and a fan, and a TV with selected DStv channels.
Book direct and breakfast is offered, taken across at Wunderbar — their own bar and cafe, and a better start than a tray in the room. It is not part of a booking made through LekkeSlaap, so ask for it when you book.
The shared rooms are the point of a guest house and these are generous: a long lounge with a wall of books and sofas at either end, a dining room, and a kitchen you are free to cook in — so you can self-cater for part of a stay and not for the rest. Outside, a courtyard that the wind does not find, with a braai and chairs set out under the eaves for the end of the day.
The house runs on solar, so load-shedding does not reach the lights or the Wi-Fi, and there is off-street parking inside the gate. Check-in is between 14:00 and 17:00, check-out at 10:00, all ages are welcome and pets are not. It is graded three stars and has held a 4.3 across twenty-seven reviews.
There is also a movement studio on the premises. Esti runs her own Pilates classes there on weekday mornings, and Self & More holds Pilates and yoga in the evenings — so you can walk to a class across the courtyard.
