Red Bishop Four
About this home
Red Bishop Four is the deluxe apartment and the only one that takes a family. It is upstairs, up its own staircase, and the whole floor opens out under an exposed white timber roof: a long kitchen with a red gas range and a breakfast counter, a dining table, and sofas at the far end facing the TV.
Two bedrooms, each with its own bathroom — a king-size bed in one, two singles in the other — which makes it work for a family or for two couples sharing without anybody queueing.
The deck is what people remember. It runs along the front with hanging chairs strung from the beams, a dining table under an umbrella, a fire pit and a braai, and it looks straight over the wetland the property is named for. In spring the red bishops nest out there in their hundreds.
The kitchen is properly equipped rather than a kitchenette — gas oven and stove, fridge/freezer, microwave, toaster, kettle and a coffee machine. Smart TV with Netflix, free Wi-Fi, secure parking behind a motorised gate, and linen and towels supplied. Main Beach is about eight minutes' walk.
Children of all ages are welcome in this unit.
