Sandra's Guest House
About this home
Sandra's Guest House sits on the corner of Main and Cloete Streets, close enough to the water that the lagoon is the view from more than one room. There are five rooms, each decorated differently: Oyster, upstairs, has a king bed, a spa bath and its own balcony looking straight over the lagoon; Coral is a large king room on the ground floor with a private entrance and a single bed that works for a third guest or a child; Periwinkle is the self-catering option, two open-plan rooms with a small kitchen, a king bed and a double bunk for children; Perlemoen is twin-bedded with its own patio and parking right outside; and Perna-Perna is a quieter queen room upstairs with a desk, suited to someone travelling alone or working while they're here.
Breakfast is included in every room except Periwinkle, served while the gulls carry on outside. Sandra runs the place herself and has for years — the guest lounge has a fireplace and a Smart TV for the evenings the wind has other plans. The house runs on solar power for its geysers, so load-shedding doesn't touch your hot water, and there's free parking and Wi-Fi throughout.
