A characterful villa a five-minute walk from Shark Bay, styled throughout with the owners' own art and vintage finds rather than the usual holiday-let furniture. Both bedrooms look out over the lagoon — one loft-style upstairs under a triangular window, one downstairs — and there's a record player, a sound system and board games in the living room for evenings in.

It's built for a longer stay as much as a weekend: a proper dedicated workspace with a monitor and ergonomic chair, a Smeg gas cooker and dishwasher in the kitchen, and an outdoor shower for after the beach. There's a private patio, a back garden with a hammock, and pets are welcome.
