The four-bedroom configuration of the Sonskyn house on Langebaan Country Estate, put together with the same considered, neutral style throughout. Four bedrooms sleep eight — three with a king bed, one with a queen — and the house doubles up on the things that matter for a bigger group: two separate lounges and two braai areas, so a crowd doesn't have to share one space.

Solar backup power and a 200 Mbps line mean the house runs regardless of load shedding and a slow signal is one less thing to plan around. Outside, a covered pergola looks over the pool and out across the estate's open fynbos.

The pool is heated and looked after: staff come by most weekday mornings between 8 and 10 to clean it, and check the water twice a week, without needing to enter the house. Kristin messages ahead of any visit so you know when to expect them.

Check-in is by access code, issued from midday on the day you arrive — over a weekend especially, send IDs for every adult in the party ahead of time so estate security can generate them. If you are bringing a pet, say so clearly in your booking request rather than after.
