A Langebaan guide

Free things to do in Langebaan

A holiday town will happily take your money. Langebaan also has a run club, a swim group, a paddle group, two beaches and a market that ask for nothing at all — and they are, mostly, what the people who live here actually do.

10 of them are below. Everything here is genuinely free to turn up to; where there is a hat going round or something you might buy once you are there, it says so.

One thing worth knowing

The wind gets up most afternoons from spring onwards. Anything on the water is calmer in the morning — the swim, the paddle, the flat water off Main Beach. The exception is Shark Bay, where the wind is the entire point and the afternoon is when to go.
